***The Birth of the Kingdom of Breunilz***

It is the year of our lord, 1126 Fergion Date (F.D.), and Bismark the Young has become the Grand Duke of the Grelien Duchy at the mere age of fifteen. With bloodline claims in the Breunilz Principality to the south and east and neverending hatred for the Caldiehmsburgs in the emmediate west, a goodly amount of choices lie ahead for young Bismark. With the military might of the Caldiehmsburgs being a force to be feared, Bismark thought it wise to gain Breunilz in union against their one enemy. After months of negotiations, the young duke eventually married Lady Idaline of Bruenilz to form the Kingdom of Bruenilz with its capitol at Grelien. Within the next seven years, the new kingdom drove the Caldiehmsburgs out of the west and into Strauthenburg. In the resulting peace-talks, Bismark allowed his newly defeated foe to return to their homeland if they abandoned their old name and bowed to their new king. The Caldiehmsburgs agreed. In 1134 F.D. the Kingdom of Breunalz as we know it today was born.

***Tribes of Adhiemea***

In the ten years since her birth, the Kingdom of Breunilz, led by King Bismark of Grelien, had gained great political influence in the region. Included in this influence is the appareant friendly relationship Bismark had with Mother Velma of the Motherdom of Roemunei. They both shared a fondness with eachother, as their people. Breunilz and Roemunei became so close, that the borders between the two had all but vanished. They also shared the same troubles. The numerous barbaric tribes of Adhiemea had performed an ever-constant array of raids along the northern borders of Breunilz and Roemunei. The headache of the existance of Adhiemea became to great to tolerate any longer. Bismark launched a full on assault on a border-town in the troublesome land. He burned the village off of any maps, killing hundreds. The act became known has "The King's Massacre." As a result, a full total war was declared between the two. Mother Velma of Roemunei joined Bismark in the war. After merely six months of fighting, the two armies met at Vausterlen, the self proclaimed capital of Adhiemea. After a long siege, a desperate leader, by the name of Leroy Gauthensben, decided to sally out to combined force of Breunilz and Roemunei. In the failed attack, Lady Idaline, Bismark's wife, was killed by a balista bolt. King Bismark, with vengence in his eyes, assulted the walled city declaring, "These walls shall fall with the blood of Gauthensben on my hands!" His words were true. The walls of the city did fall, and Leroy Gauthensben was killed as a result.

***Birth of an Age***

News of Gauthensben's death and the fall of Vausterlen spread quickly throughout Adhiemea. Organised armies disbanded and became no more then mere resistance groups. Adhiemea was split in two between Breunilz and Roemunei. King Bismark held West Adhiemea with an iron grip for vengence of his fallen wife, Lady Idaline. Mother Velme, however, annexed the east and improved the land as if it were her own. Seven years later, word of the trouble in the west reached Velma's ears, and she wasn't entirely pleased with Bismakr's treatment. She met with him and compromised a deal. In 1152 F.D., she proposed a marrage between her and Bismark, fusing Bruenilz, Roemunei, and a united Adhiemea together into a new nation. He agreed to the proposal the following year, and proeclaimed the new nation as the Avyllon Empire with her chosen capital, Grelien. The event was so godly, that Emperor Bismark and Empress Velma proclaimed the merging as a dawn of a new age. They named the age the "Avyllon Imperium Timestream (A.I.T.)."

***Avyllon Expands***

Over the next 70 years, Emperor Bismark, and later Baldwin, his son, had turned Avyllon into a productive nation with great political and military power in the region. However, this was not to last. As Emperor Baldwin aged, so did his ability to lead an empire. His sons, Aaois and Volfram, even unofficially ruled Avyllon for the last year of his life. In 1228 A.I.T., at the ripe age of 71, Emperor Baldwin died peacefully and named his first son, Volfram, has the sole heir to the throne of Avyllon. This dawned a blood-age for the empire. Volfram believed it his birthrite to controle Ulsirbaese. He launched several military campaignes against neiboring nations. In those wars, he gained Bayasbrug in the east and Sudlustaler in the north. Though, as all things, this came to an end. After a mere two years of kingship, Volfram was assassinated by an agent sent by his son, Saxton. Saxton saw his father as a threat to the nation, and by eliminating the threat, he claimed himself as Emperor of all of Avyllon. By 1240 A.I.T., Saxton the Champion, as he became commonly known, had conquered every stretch of land between the lands of Beohertalz, Eisterlunt, and Mizeal.

***The Marviehmean Revolution***

Six months after the Eisterlunt Occupation, the Fiefdom of Marviehmea was plagued by a never-ending swarm of insurgency by the Valstraught House. The rebelion soon spread accross Eisterlunt, tearing the land apart. Encouraged by the lack of repression, Lord Ulrich va Valstraught organized a force of mostly farmers and hunters to free them from Imperial rule. Upon hearing the news of the uprise, Emperor Saxton the Champion lead a relativaly small force to end it. It did not end well. His force of 67 spearman, 23 archers, and 15 horseman were easily overwhelmed by the swarming farmers whose numbers where beyond counting. Lord Ulrich killed Saxton and sent shockwaves through the nation. The news caused many rebelions to occure in the colonies suppressed by Imperial rule. Many of these regions, of which the Valstraughts held blood claims to, caused even more trouble. In 1243 A.I.T., newly crowned Emperor Seigfried, son of Aaois, agreed to let the provinces secede with recognition of their nation. All seceding nations united to form the Marviehmea Posessions due to the extesive amount of land owned by the Valstraughts, the ruling family of Marviehmea. Soon after, King Ulrich va Valstraught saught peace with Emperor Seigfried. Seigried, however, decided to isolate the empire from the Marviehmeans, vowing to remain neutral with the union.

***A Woman's Crown***

Five years after his corination, Emperor Seigfried was found dead in his quarters and left no hier to the throne. A direct relative to Empress Velma, Lady Harolda eagerly pursued the throne. However, for it was illegal for a woman to claim the throne, this was not easy. She instead used her husband, unmotivated Lord Triston, as a figure head to achieve her goal. The next six years became known as the Speech War for it was in fact a war, but a war of words rather then swords. After victory, Emperor Triston, under pressure from Harolda, made it law for the Empress to have equal power to that of the Emperor. Afterwords, Empress Harolda, or Empress Fury as the public named her, lead several campaigns to secure Avyllon's position in Ulsirbaese, conquering the lands of the River Clouvea and even the clans of Volenea. These conquests had their consequenes. King Valeska of the Volneach Kingdom, saw the lands to the south to be his birthright, and was not pleased to see them in the hands of Empress Harolda. This caused increased hostility between the two powers which did nothing but worsen.

***War for Sudlustaler***

In 1258 A.I.T. the Duchy Ganaschart rebelled against Volneach rule. Valeska accused Harolda for assisting the Duke in revolting. Empress Harolda was not pleased with this accusation. She began mustering every knight, archer, spearman, and everything else available into Sudlustaler. Valeska, fearing an invasion, did the same in Zweilusea. It wasn't until a year later, in 1260 A.I.T., did war breakout. This war was focased in Sudlustaler, with both nations seeking control of the Lustaler River. Late in the year, the war turned into a stalemate, with Volneach forces having control of North Sudlustaler, and Avyllon controling the south. In 1262 A.I.T., the Marviehmean King, Hienrich the Red, began interferring in the war. To add to Avyllon's troubles, the Clouveans in the south began revolting. Since all of Empress Harolda's forces were occupied in Sudlustaler, she could not quell the rebellion. Soon her prayers would be answered. Empress "Fury" Harolda of the Avyllon Empire died from a heart attack on a cold Sudlustaler night in 1263 A.I.T..

***The Kaunivacaul***

The news of Harolda's death shocked the whole of the empire for no one seemed fit to protect Avyllon from her many enemies. Few expected Prince Kerhasi, Harolda's only son, to assume the throne with an aura of authority. The moment he assumed the throne, he immediately called for peace talks with Valeska of Volneach, Hienrich of Marviehmea, and the many leaders of the Clouvea region in Daustenburg, Sudlustaler. All arrived, eager to learn of the new emperor's persona. They were suprised to hear a compromise from Kerhasi. He agreed to split Sudlustaler into three parts. North Sudlustaler, the largest of the three will be controled by Volneach, while South and East Sudlustaler will remain under Imperial control. King Valeska agreed to this unexpected deal. The nagotiations with the Clouvean leaders were much easier. Their only desires were freedom from Avyllon, and recognition as independant nations. Emperor Kerhasi granted them both stating "The River Clouvea is a rich river indeed, but not one we have need of." Negotiations with King Hienrich, however, were not as productive. Valeska and Kerhasi sought a compromise, but Hienrich wasn't interested. He stated that the Valstraughts had rights to numerous regions throughout Avyllon, Clouvea, and Volneach. This was to be expected, for Marviehmean men, especially the Valstraught House, were known for their fertility and haremistic society. Fearing a united Imperial and Volneatic force, Hienrich agreed to the compomise gaining South Eaziemea, Sudlieburg, Warea, and Mizeal. News of the peace caused the public to call Emperor Kerhasi the "Kounivacaul" or "King of Peace." He grew fond of the name fairly quickly.

***A Lasting Legacy***

Emperor Kerhasi the Live died peacefully in 1312 A.I.T. at the age of 87. He accomplished many feats in his lifetime. Other then the Negotiation of Sudlustaler, he changed the Imperial focas from military domination to that of culture, entertainment, and public education. Of these, public eduation seemed foriegn to the people of South Eastern Ulsirbaese. Education was a matter for priests and monks, not the nobles and peasants. His accomplishments shined just as brightly through his first-born son, Nicholai. Emperor Nicholai continued his father's legacy and ideals, putting a focas on the public rather then foriegn affairs. He sparked an age of enlightenment within the empire. Culture, public entertainment, public education, and technology flourished in Avyllon and her surrounding neighbors. These weren't his only accomplishments. He also negotiated a peaceful end to the Unification War between the League of Clouvea and Marviehmea as well as quelling uprisings in Otillara and Otisiemsburg. He also established a reputation as Emperor Nicholai the Fertile, having over fifteen children through ten mistresses and his wife, Empress Cathrine. It was a bright age for Avyllon that nearly fell apart during a rough incident. Nicholai traveled to Laschenfrauen to discuss a trade agreement with King Olaf of Marviehmea in 1329 A.I.T.. His caravan did not arrive.

***The Empty Throne***

Imperials roared out in remorse at news of Emperor Nicholai's disappearance. All, including Seventh Prince Leopold va Avyllon, accused Marviehmean King Olaf of illegally capturing and possibly assassinating their beloved king. Olaf denied all accusations. The Six Princes of Avyllon demanded permission to investigate their father's disappearance. Olaf's answer didn't please them. Not only did he deny access through his borders, he even refused to launch an investigation himself. Prince Leopold made one last demand for answers at the point of a sword, and again, he was denied. The conflict was so impacting, even the Crown of Volneach became involved. King Alekzar blamed Olaf for the same atrocities and allied himself with the Avyllon Princes. Together they pressured Olaf to find answers to Nicholai's dissappearance. The ever-stubborn king continued to refuse. The result was horrifying. Second Prince Eugen va Hennigriehm massed a force in the Mizielunts. He then razed the border town of Bavenburg to the ground, killing hundreds of men, women, children, and elderly. King Olaf condemned this act and threatened war on Avyllon. First Prince Dyre welcomed the war, as did his ally, King Alekzar. Unknown to foriegners, Avyllon had developed a powerful force during its enlightenment. Canons and handcanons filled the ranks of Avyllon's army as well as her navy. After the Assult of Braamorza, the only battle of the war, Olaf surrendered and launched an investigation for Emperor Nicholai's dissappearance. To this day, no answers have been found.

***The Elector Prince***

Five years after the war, the throne was still empty. Many Imperials, including the Royal Family, believed Emperor Nicholai to be dead. With this new mindset, the seven princes called for a new king. In 1335 A.I.T, they elected their successor to avoid a war of succession, an event unheard of in Ulsirbaese. They elected Seventh Prince Leopold va Avyllon as Emperor of the Avyllon Empire and her posessions. Emperor Leopold va Avyllon saught to secure the empire and aimed for its survival. He issued a new policy in the kingdom. If a king dies without naming an heir, instead of upstarting a succession war, the Council is to elect the next heir of the throne based off of merit. His new plan became widely accepted in the Council. He continued to further secure Avyllon as a major power in the region and to this day, in the year of our lord 1342 A.I.T., he remains Emperor of Avyllon and her posessions.

Here's the history that takes place in this map: [link] . I worked hard on this, and seeing as how I'm not much of a writer, I don't expect any "What a masterpiece!" comments to appear. I just did it due to demand. :)
